Chicago: Light, Shadow and Steel

An ongoing study of Chicago’s architecture, weather and light

Chicago: Light, Shadow and Steel is an ongoing study of a city shaped by architecture, weather and Lake Michigan.

I photograph Chicago when those elements collide: artificial light against winter ice, glass and steel beneath changing skies and familiar structures transformed by unusual atmospheric conditions.

This collection is not intended as a record of Chicago’s landmarks. It is a study of the city as landscape, shaped by light, weather and season.

The Print is the Finished Work

A screen can show a representation of the photograph, but it cannot replicate the surface, tonal separation, physical scale or presence of the finished print.

For serious large scale acquisition enquiries, the studio will make reasonable arrangements wherever practicable for the work, or an appropriate physical presentation proof, to be experienced before purchase.

Every standard acquisition also includes a 14-day experience period. If the work is not right for you once you have experienced it in person, then you can notify the studio who will arrange and fund its return, together with its Certificate of Authenticity following Limited Edition protection procedures. The full purchase price, including any shipping and tax, will be refunded immediately upon its receipt.
