A note from the artist: Why are custom substrates only offered through the Trade Program?

Premium custom substrates such as Optium Facemount acrylic and ChromaLuxe Aluminum are specified individually for the architecture in which the work will be installed. Scale, substrate, mounting, lighting and installation all affect the final result.

For that reason these presentations are offered in collaboration with registered design professionals, allowing me to work directly with the designer and specialist production partners from specification through installation. The objective is simple: the photograph, presentation and space should work as one considered whole.

I want every photograph acquired from Michael Connell Photography to be loved by its new owner and for that owner to get the very best from it. An interior designer will make sure that your space and the acquired piece are perfectly matched and that this probably expensive artifact is installed without damage, ensuring that you are able to get the very best from it for many years.
