I have been a Nikon user for many years and the legendary D850 has been my main workhorse for a lot of those. I was utterly blown away by its image quality and all round ability when I first tried it and it has never let me down. I didn’t think that this remarkable camera would be beaten for a very long time.

Nikon thought otherwise.

In June I tried the Nikon Z8. I was blown away again. It has retained the D850’s insane image quality but has added a much faster sensor and processor resulting in a completely different league of autofocus and this has become the camera that goes everywhere with me.
